In 2000, Dr. Holden received the Warschaw Robertson Law Families Endowed Chair and became he Director of the Warschaw Prostate Cancer at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. His duties include supervising a large research program developing cutting edge technology for the treatment of prostate cancer.
Since 1993, Dr. Holden has been the Medical Director of the Prostate Cancer Foundation (formerly Capcure), the largest private funder of prostate cancer research in the world.
Dr. Holden also serves as a principal and the Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of Proquest Investments, a private equity fund with over 400 million dollars invested in new cancer-related technologies. He serves on the Board of Directors of several of its portfolio companies.
Dr. Holden is the principal investigator on several clinical studies involving new pharmaceutical treatments for prostate cancer. He is a member of many professional societies, and has active in organizations such as the American Cancer Society and the Prostate Cancer Research Project for the Department of Defense.
Dr. Holden received his Bachelors degree in Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin and his Medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. He completed a surgical internship and residency at New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center and a urologic residency at Emory University. At the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, he completed two fellowships - one in urology and one in developmental genetics. During this period, he was awarded a clinical fellowship from the American Cancer Society.
